Araku Balloon Festival 2025 Date

Araku Balloon Festival is one of the popular Indian balloon festival.

Andhra Pradesh Tourism organised the Araku Balloon Festival in association with Sky Waltz and E Factor. Recently, The Indian Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) conducted a successful trial run of the hot air balloon at the Padmapuram Horticulture Botanical Garden. Trial run for the hot air balloon ride was conducted on October 12, 2024. The Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA), Paderu, is working on plan to introduce the tethered hot air balloon ride for tourists near Padmapuram Gardens after Diwali in 2025. ITDA Project Officer V. Abhishek said that tourists will be taken up to an altitude of around 200 feet. If weather permits, it can go upto 300 feet, he said.

Situated at an altitude of 1300 meters above sea level, Araku is one of the most beautiful place in Andhra Pradesh. According to ITDA Project Officer V Abhishek, tourists will be taken up to an altitude of around 200 feet swing. If weather permits, it can go up to 300 feet. The rides will be open from 6 AM to 11 AM, 4 PM to 10 PM. The ITDA will charge Rs 1500 per person.

The idea of Hot air balloon rides began during the inaugural edition of the Araku Balloon Festival which was the first event of its kind with 13 countries participating in 2017. Previously it was organized for two years.

The second edition of the Araku Balloon Festival was conducted in January 2021 with around 20 hot air balloons from 15 countries including India, the United States of America, Italy, France, Switzerland, Belgium, Thailand, the United Kingdom, Spain, Malaysia, the Netherland, Germany, Brazil, Japan, and Slovakia.
